Dear tired Mom,

I see you in the grocery store with your list in hand young children in tow. I see you as you lovingly prepare a meal for your family (going through the drive-through counts). And when you wipe off the counter tops before bed, because no one else will do it.

I see your struggle to balance a career and be a mom, sometimes fearing your boss might be annoyed if you take off for your child’s program at school. I see you as you feel lonely because during this busy season with your family, there’s no margin to squeeze in time with friends.

And then when you are really tired and burnt out, someone asks, “What’s your favorite movie?” You can’t even remember, because when have you watched a movie just for you?

Lean into Jesus today, Momma.

Find rest for your soul! Remember you can do anything in God’s strength (Phil. 4:13).
